2nd July - Cooking
On the 2nd July the cubs met in the garden of one of our leaders. Working together in 3 groups the cubs used the wood available to build and then light fires. The cubs were then tasked with cooking their dinner of sausages, jacket potato and baked beans. All 3 groups worked well together sharing ideas about how to build their fires and what was needed to help the wood catch light.

The day started with a treasure hunt, then collecting wood to build fire and cook lunch. An enjoyable day - relaxed and beautiful weather. |
Cub Camp - May 2018
Cubs spent the weekend camping at Boidierhurst Scout Camp Site. Activities included candle making, pioneering and water transportation. Saturday afternoon the cubs worked their way round an orienteering course that Graham had set up. The course was particularly devious with different correct answers for each team and two or three wrong answers on nearby trees. |
