12 scouts achieved their local knowledge badge

Pancakes

Our meeting in the week of Shrove Tuesday the scouts cooked pancakes on tin cans over candles. I think it’s fair to say that some were more successful than others but everyone produced something edible!

Elastic Powered Cars

Tripods

11th January = Scouts and Explorers spent the evening building 2 tripods and attaching a basket ball hoop to the top, followed by a game of basket ball

Mock Court Case

We staged a mock court case with all scouts playing an active part in the proceedings and some discovering a real flair for cross examination! Whilst most thought that the defendant was probably guilty, the jury found that the prosecution were unable to provide sufficient proof for a conviction so all scouts were returned to their parents!

Fire Station Visit

We began a visit to Reigate fire station as part of the fire safety badge but a call-out for the duty crew ended the visit prematurely. A return is being arranged
